In 1909, Picasso broke away from traditional art form and developed a style of painting called Analytic Cubism. The aim of this style was to break down subject matter into a number of geometric shapes and then reorganize and overlap these shapes to show several angles at the same time. Shapes are reconstructed in a mathematical way, using straight lines and right angles.
We used a Monochromatic colour scheme i.e. one colour only, mixed with black (shade) and white (tint)
